Who We Are

The Center for Performing Arts & Dance was founded in 2022 in Flatiron, NYC.

Our Benefits

Core Values

CPAD is dedicated to creating a fun and loving atmosphere for our students while providing them with quality learning and development. We believe in building strong self-esteem and inspiring talent within children at an early age, which carries over to strengthen their character in all aspects of their life.

Parent-Teacher Relationship

Our relationship with parents and families is of utmost importance to our growth as an arts center, as we consider our parent-teacher and/or parent-caretaker relationship integral to the success of our students.

Gentle Separation

Each group has a phase-in schedule geared specifically to their age to help children acclimate to the classroom and separate from their parent or caregiver through an intentional and gentle process.

Class Etiquette
  • Eyes and attention should be on the teacher.
  • Accept corrections and apply them.
  • Be kind to your classmates and your teacher.
  • Refrain from talking out during class unless asked.
  • Ask permission before leaving class.
  • Always remember to say “Please” and “Thank you!”
Health and Safety Guidelines

By entering the our space, all children and accompanying adults agree that they will not attend classes at CPAD if they are showing signs of illness, including runny nose, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, fever, loss of smell or taste, vomiting, diarrhea, or chills. We ask that you stay home if you are sick and inform us if your child will be missing class at [email protected].

All staff and service providers will be required to be vaccinated to work at the space.

CPAD is committed to providing a high-quality experience for all of our students. If you need to cancel your classes, please contact us as soon as possible. We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations. If you do not provide at least 24 hours notice, you may be responsible for paying a cancellation fee equal to the class tuition.

We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise and are committed to finding solutions that work for you. We allow three makeup classes per semester. Kindly inform us of the preferred date and time for the makeup class via email as soon as possible, preferably at least 24 hours before the missed session. If you have any questions about our cancellation policy or need to schedule a makeup class, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Our Mission

Learn

Our carefully curated programs in STEM, Chess, Art, Pre-K Prep, and more introduce your child to key problem solving foundations and spark their enjoyment for learning early on in their development.

Dance

With professionally trained dance instructors, we welcome your dancers into a space that encourages their balance, coordination, flexibility, and most of all, creative expression.

Perform

Our hard work culminates in our end-of-season showcase where our young dancers and musicians show off their new and improved skills! Our academic classes get the chance to shine as well, with a chess tournament and science fair for our older groups.
